Michael Swanwick
Michael Swanwick is a well-known American science fiction author and a theorist of science fiction literature (cyberpunk). Michael Swanwick has received the Hugo, Nebula, Theodore Sturgeon, and World Fantasy Awards for his works. When they met for the first time, VI has been already familiar with Swanwick’s creations. VI and Michael have got acquainted at the International Science Fiction Convention in Baltimore in 1998. And in 1999 Swanwick arrived to New York to visit the VI’s private viewing at the Pleiades Gallery in Soho. That year VI was on visit to Michael Swanwick in Philadelphia. VI has much in common with Michael’s art. For example, his novel “The Iron Dragon's Daughter” has inspired VI in his creation of such strange creatures as dragons.
